Cold Pressed Oils vs Industrial Oils

By oil production process we recognize cold and warm pressed oils. In cold pressed oil process seeds or fruit are pressed without additives on max 40 to 50 Celsius, then filtered through sieves and left to settle. After that they are packed in bottles.

These oils are more intense by taste but also less amount of oil is pressed from the same quantity than warm pressed oils. Industrial oils are extremely lower quality than cold pressed oils. It’s not unknown that for industrial oil production a genetically modified plants are used and during extraction of oil too high temperatures are being used.

Part of the process involves using poison chemicals like hexane, a petroleum product, for extraction of more and more oil. Except it’s carcinogenic, it can also trigger addiction.
