Cherry Pie recipe

Ingredients:

  • 250 g butter
  • 300 g all- purpose flour
  • 40 g HAZELNUT FLOUR
  • 20 g roasted HAZELNUTS
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 sachet of baking powder pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar

Filling:

  • 450 g frozen cherries
  • 100 g sugar
  • 300 ml water
  • 40 g vanilla pudding
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar

1. Put frozen cherries in a pot with both kind of sugar and boil it on light fire. Mix water and pudding in different pot until all lumps disappear. When cherries start to boil, add mixture of water and pudding, stir well and cook until is thicker. Let it cool.
2. Heat oven on 200 degrees. In meantime make shortcrust pastry.
3. Sift the flour, cut butter on thin layers, add all other ingredients and knead soft dough. It must not stick or crumble. If you feel it needs a bit more flour, add.. but not too much. Dough does not need to cool down; it can be shaped right away.
4. Prepare the mold. Split the dough in two pieces. Leave smaller piece for stripes and bigger piece spread in mold and lift edges a little bit. Poke the dough with fork.
5. When you do everything so far, sort cooled cherries on dough. Make stripes from smaller piece. Bake for 15 minutes on lower grid and for 15 minutes more in the middle.
